Good questions
Before you ask.
How fast can we go live?
Calls are usually live in about a week. We train your AI employee on your offers, tone and booking rules, wire it into your phone line, business texting and calendar, then tune it live. If it'll be texting your customers, US carriers first require your texting number to be registered (A2P 10DLC). We handle that paperwork, and approval can add a week or two.
Will it sound like a robot on the phone?
No. The Receptionist speaks in a natural voice and your brand's tone. Most callers simply feel like they got a fast, friendly call back — because they did.
Will callers know they're talking to AI?
Yes. Your AI employee introduces itself as your business's virtual assistant and never pretends to be a person. That's the honest way to do it, and disclosure laws like California's expect it. Callers mostly care that someone got back to them fast.
Is it legal to call and text my customers with AI?
Yes, when it's set up properly, and we set it up that way. Your AI employee only calls or texts people who contacted your business first or who've agreed to hear from you. Every text includes an opt-out (Reply STOP), messages respect quiet hours, your texting number is registered with US carriers, and consent is logged, so you have a record if anyone asks. In a regulated industry? Run it past your attorney too.
Do you record calls?
Calls can be recorded and transcribed so you get the full context. When recording is on, your AI employee says so at the start of the call, as states like California, Florida and Pennsylvania require.
Does it speak Spanish?
Yes. Your AI employee can talk and text with customers in English or Spanish, so Spanish-speaking callers get the same fast answer and booking.
Do I keep my business number?
Yes. Your AI employee works behind the number your customers already call. Nothing changes for them except that someone always gets back to them.
What if it gets something wrong?
It only answers from what it's trained on and hands anything else to you with the full transcript. We review real conversations every week and tighten the answers, so mistakes get fixed at the source.
Does it replace my team?
It replaces the busywork, not your people. It handles the repetitive answering, qualifying and booking, then hands your team the ready-to-close conversations with full context.
What does it plug into?
Your existing phone number, business texting, web chat, Instagram and Facebook, Google Calendar or Outlook, Calendly, Stripe and Slack — plus anything on Zapier, like Jobber, Housecall Pro or HubSpot. If you already use it, we can usually connect it.
How much does it cost?
Setup is a one-time $500. For founding clients, you pay it only after your AI employee books its first job, and if nothing is booked in your first 30 days, you don't pay it at all (details). The monthly fee is flexible: we build it around your call and lead volume and the roles you need, quote it on the call, and bill month to month. There's no recruiting, onboarding or overtime. For comparison, a full-time US receptionist costs about $55,000 a year once benefits are added (see the math).
Is my customer data safe?
Yes. Conversations are encrypted in transit and stay inside your connected tools. We only use your data to run your AI employee, never to train shared models, and you can ask us to export or delete it at any time. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
What kinds of businesses is it for?
Any business that lives on calls and bookings — home services, HVAC and plumbing, roofing, auto shops, salons, fitness studios, real estate, agencies and law firms. If a missed call costs you a job, it's built for you.
